Katelyn’s Kause is a non-profit charitable organization founded in memory of a very courageous and brave girl, Katelyn Knebel from Warwick, N.Y.
Katelyn lost a long and hard battle against cancer in 2004. Sometimes when a beautiful life is lost, it inspires a legacy. From sadness and grief, something positive arises. That is what happened in this case.
Katelyn’s Uncle Gary (Knebel) and several of his co-workers at Mid-Orange Correctional Facility held a softball tournament to raise funds and donated the proceeds to the charity of Katelyn’s choice. From this idea arose Katelyn’s Kause.
Katelyn’s Kause is based out of Mid-Orange Correctional Facility in Warwick, N.Y. and is a proud subsidiary of “Cops Care”, a New York State Police and Correction Officers Benevolent Association Inc. (NYSCOPBA) Foundation.
